Paul Jolly Photography Chapter 29
About the author
I was introduced to photography at an early age, having access to darkroom equipment at home
ensured I could experiment with techniques for both monochrome and colour.
Planning my own darkroom caused me to investigate methods for insuring consistent development
of film and prints in order to change one element at a time. Consistency is key in experimentation
and quickly allowed me to refine my skills.
I managed to get through over 240,000 frames and several cameras before starting my adventures with digital.
The techniques I had learned prior to the digital age were fully transferable to digital cameras
and digital processing. I found many of the problems in digital had analogues in film photography;
once the connection was determined the corrective action was similar.
This book contains a selection from the knowledge I have gained over the years although each
chapter could be a book in its own right. I hope this text will guide you in your endeavours.
